Camp Thompson is located in Gardners, PA and has been operated by the Carlisle Family YMCA for more than 100 years. Camp Thompson is nestled in the pines of Pine Grove Furance State Park and the Michaux State Forest. We are located between both Laurel and Fuller lakes, and a mile away from the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail. Our camp offers four week-long programs for campers ages 7-14.
Please notice we will be following a Sunday - Friday schedule.
There is a one time fee of $30 for each participant due at the time of registration.
Archery Tag, Blow Dart Guns, Paddleboards, Arts & Crafts, Low Ropes Initiative Park, Swimming, Outdoor Living Skills, Sling Shots, Hiking, Canoeing, Nature, Archery, Large Group Games, Alpine Tower (age 9+), Tubing, Guitar, Kayaking, Mountain Boarding, Color Wars, Overnights, And Much More!
All cabins are scheduled for a day or overnight hike, depending on the age of the campers in each cabin. The campers’ ages also determine the location of the hike. Hikes include: Mountain Creek Trail, Pole Steeple, Tom’s Run, Tagg’s Run, Sunset Rocks and Fuller Lake.
