Camp Thompson is located in Gardners, PA and has been operated by the Carlisle Family YMCA for more than 100 years. Camp Thompson is nestled in the pines of Pine Grove Furance State Park and the Michaux State Forest. We are located between both Laurel and Fuller lakes, and a mile away from the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail. Our camp offers four week-long programs for campers ages 7-14.
A one time family fee of $30 will be charged at the time of registration

All cabins are scheduled for a day or overnight hike, depending on the age of the campers in each cabin. The campers’ ages also determine the location of the hike. Hikes include: Mountain Creek Trail, Pole Steeple, Tom’s Run, Tagg’s Run, Sunset Rocks and Fuller Lake.
Pack some lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy! Every Friday parents are welcome to join us at Camp Thompson for Campfire. The campfire program starts with patch presentations and is followed by an inspirational story at chapel. Then all campers and staff participate in skits, songs and funny traditions around our large outdoor campfire. Campfire begins at 7pm and is held rain or shine. Parents are welcome to sign them out Friday night, or before 9am on Saturday morning.
